Basic information about QMS
As an International standard it is called ISO 9001:2008
ISO means International Organization for Standardization
9000 is the Quality family code
2008 is the last revision year
The main aim is process approach, and like most of the ISO standards it depends on the PDCA Cyle, which is also called Dr. Edward Deming Cycle, Plan Do Check Act Cycle. The main focus is on continuous improvement of the organization.
